The classification of air compressor has the following methods:

1. According to the gas volume

Air volume refers to the gas discharged every minute when the air compressor works, which is converted into volume. The displacement of the minicomputer is less than 10 cubic meters per minute, the displacement of the medium-sized machine is 10-100 cubic meters per minute, and the displacement of the mainframe is 100 cubic meters per minute.

2. According to the structure of the air compressor, it can be divided into the screw type and piston type

Due to the complicated rotor profile and high manufacturing cost, screw compressors have the advantages of small size, light weight and small parts. At the same displacement, screw compressors are more expensive than piston compressors.

3. According to the cooling method

The air compressor can make the temperature rise when the gas is compressed, so a cooler is required.

According to the cooler mode, it is divided into water cooling and air cooling. Water cooling uses water circulation cooling; air cooling uses fan cooling.

The size of the air displacement is one of the main parameters of the air compressor. The selected air compressor should match the required air displacement and leave a 10% margin. Generally, the compressed air of an air compressor contains a certain amount of lubricating oil and a certain amount of water. In some cases, oil and water are prohibited. In this case, you need to pay attention to adding additional devices when selecting an air compressor.

1. Use a non-lubricating air compressor. The cylinder of this air compressor is basically free of oil, and its piston ring and packing are generally polytetrafluoroethylenes. This machine also has its shortcomings. First, it is poorly lubricated and has a high failure rate. In addition, PTFE is also a harmful substance, and it cannot be used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

2. Therefore, the common practice is to add one or two purification devices or dryers to the air compressor. This device can make the compressor air neither oil nor water, so that the oily water content in the compressed air is below 5ppm to meet the process requirements.

Operational safety:

The air compressor is accompanied by temperature rise and pressure, and safety should be the first priority when working. In addition to the safety valve, the air compressor is also equipped with a pressure regulator.
